Board members heard from district staff that Joseph Zaybir of the Douglas High School alumni association has proposed adding solar lighting and interpretive signage to the DHS mural wall. Director (S5) said he had spoken with Zaybir and the city manager about possible construction support but that the alumni had not yet presented a formal plan to the board.
Board members asked whether the city would be involved in construction; staff said they would reach back out to Joseph Zaybir and the city manager and report back. No decision or MOU was presented at the meeting.
