Theresa Garcia, the district clerk, asked the court to approve Addendum 2 to add jury-application software to the current Local Government Solutions LP contract (LGS20S0050). Garcia said the state’s previous software no longer pulls juror names automatically and that the new program would allow her office to pull 250–350 names with automated scanning and reduce manual entry time. "This program will help my office pick our jury," Garcia said, and she explained the system will provide barcode scanning and training from the vendor.
The court approved the addendum by motion and second; the transcript records a "one-time settlement fee of thousand dollars" for the addendum and the contract reference LGS20S0050. The clerk said the software will reduce staff time spent compiling jury lists and improve procedural efficiency for district and county courts.
