County adds $1.25M to Washington Road preliminary engineering; approves UV lining and Ridge Crossing repairs

Engineering services (Titus) presented several transportation and stormwater items the committee approved on consent.
Titus said the MPO identified rollover funding and staff asked the MPO to add $1,000,000 federal and $250,000 county funds to the Washington Road widening preliminary engineering phase; he said the amendment would not change the project timeline. "This is not going to change the timeline of the project. This would just add additional funding," Titus said.
In stormwater work, staff presented change order number 1 to Cajun Construction for the 2026 stormwater UV lining projects to correct pipe sizes, increasing the contract by $24,591 to $120,250. Titus also recommended engineering services from Southern Civil Solutions for $15,000 to prepare construction documents for corroded stormwater pipes at the Ridge Crossing apartment complex. Both items were approved on consent.
