Council votes 7–0 to enter executive session on economic development assistance
Summary
The council moved, seconded and unanimously approved a motion to enter executive session at 6:57 p.m. to discuss confidential economic development assistance and related infrastructure/utility extensions under Ohio Revised Code 121.22(g)(8).
At the close of the July 23 work session Mayor Perry asked for a motion to go into executive session to "consider confidential information that is directly related to a request for economic development assistance" and other related matters under Ohio Revised Code 121.22(g)(8). The motion was made and seconded on the record, and the clerk conducted a roll call.
The clerk recorded unanimous support for the motion: Councilman Rourke — "Yay"; Vice Mayor Croucher — "Yay"; Miss Montgomery — "Yay"; Mister Prophet — "Yay"; Mister Nichols — "Yay"; Miss Butts — "Yay"; Mayor Perry — "Yay." The council announced it would go into executive session at 6:57 p.m. and that no further business would be conducted in the work session; the meeting reconvened later for the regular council meeting at 7:30 p.m.
