Seneca Flight reports December operations up year-over-year, flags taxiway trees

Rich Leppert presented Seneca Flight Operations’ monthly memo and said the airport recorded 462 operations through December, up from 398 the prior year. He noted a safety/operational concern that trees are obstructing the taxiway view for runway 28, reported the final T-hangar is now occupied with two outstanding leases having been sent, and said deicing equipment has allowed more flights in winter months. Leppert added that airport staff are on duty seven days a week, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with after-hours availability for a fee (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).
The committee accepted the report as information and asked staff to continue monitoring operational issues and lease processing.
