Yates County Legislature reappoints clerk, attorney, administrator and other key officials

At its Jan. 5, 2026 organizational meeting the Legislature approved a slate of reappointments: Emilee D. Miller (Clerk), Scott P. Falvey (County Attorney), Jessica L. Mullins (County Administrator and Budget Officer), Leigh Battin (Director of Finance), and Matthew Tantillo (Public Defender). Each resolution passed unanimously.
The Yates County Legislature approved a series of routine reappointments at the Jan. 5 organizational session, confirming key county officials for terms beginning Jan. 1, 2026 and extending through Dec. 31, 2027 where specified.
Resolution No. 3-26 reappointed Emilee D. Miller as Clerk of the County Legislature; Resolution No. 4-26 reappointed Scott P. Falvey as County Attorney; Resolution No. 5-26 appointed Jessica L. Mullins as County Administrator and Resolution No. 6-26 reappointed her as Budget Officer; Resolution No. 7-26 appointed Leigh Battin as Director of Finance; and Resolution No. 8-26 reappointed Matthew Tantillo as Public Defender. Each resolution passed by unanimous vote and directed that copies be supplied to relevant county offices.
