Sheriff James Allard requested and the committee approved renewals of several vendor contracts that support jail operations and law enforcement investigations.
The PrimeCare contract for jail medical services was renewed for $2,018,360.41 annually; Sheriff Allard said "this represents a 5 percent increase." Jack K. Wheeler told the committee the base budget will cover the contract with contingency available. The committee approved the PrimeCare renewal 3-0. The Trinity Services Group meal contract was renewed at a rate of $3.225 per meal after a reported 3.7 percent increase. The committee also approved renewal of LexisNexis Risk Solutions for phone geolocation at $3,713 annually and a one-year renewal with Flock Group, Inc. for portable license plate readers at $12,000 per year; all motions passed 3-0.
