Cass Area Transit asks commissioners to finalize amended resolution so state funding application can proceed

Chico Rodriguez, vice president of Cass Area Transit, told the Cass County Board of Commissioners he was asking the board to 'bring a conclusion to the resolution, so that Cass area transit can then finish their application for the funding.' Rodriguez said the agency needs the clarified language to complete a state grant application.
Commissioners had the resolution amended to add a whereas clause clarifying the financial-assistance language and to correct the organization's legal name. County staff said the wording was altered to better align with the grant application. The board then approved the amended resolution 2026-8 by motion and voice vote.
"I appreciate all the help that we've been able to get," Rodriguez said, thanking staff and commissioners for assistance during the application process. The resolution's adoption closes the board's portion of the paperwork so Cass Area Transit can proceed with its state funding submission.
