CSB to draft letter raising transportation gaps after members report monthly funds run out quickly

During a review of the Local Government Unit (LGU) goals, the board discussed Goal #4 (Transportation). Shannon Kelly said there are monthly funds of approximately $600 available to some agencies for transportation but that those monies are being used up within the first one to two weeks of the month. MaryAlice Kovach said ADAC is experiencing the same issue.
The board agreed to compile specific concerns and draft a letter to Commissioner Lacey Trimble. Members will email their concerns to Regina LaCatena by Sept. 20; Regina will share this information with Nora Shepard, who will draft the letter for review and approval at the board's Oct. 9 meeting. Trimble noted the recently passed Medicaid 1115 waiver will include a non‑medical transportation option and that selected agencies across seven counties will participate in the rollout.
