Orange County names Leah Roth deputy commissioner at Mental Health Department

The Orange County Department of Mental Health announced the appointment of Leah Roth as Deputy Commissioner during the Community Services Board meeting on Sept. 11, 2024. Commissioner Lacey Trimble introduced Roth at the start of her report; no vote was required for the staffing announcement.
Trimble paired the staffing update with a rundown of prevention and training activities scheduled this fall, including an Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walk on Sept. 22, 2024, and a SUNY Orange train‑the‑trainer program planned for October. The appointment was recorded in the meeting minutes and will appear in board records.
