Kendall County Commissioners voted 4–1 to provide up to $3,000 to the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation (BKCEDC) to hire a consultant to assess small‑business financial needs in Comfort and compile a Downtown Comfort Assessment Plan.
Commissioner Richard Chapman moved to assist BKCEDC with the funding, and County Judge Shane Stolarczyk seconded. The minutes record Commissioner Jennifer McCall voting "nay;" the other four members voted in favor. The minutes state the funding would come from remaining interest on ARPA funds and would not require a budget adjustment.
Commissioners did not append further conditions to the funding in the minutes. The item was recorded under planning and budget; no public comment specific to the BKCEDC request was documented in the minutes.
