During its April 20 session, the court approved several operational items requested by county officials. The judges and commissioners approved Sheriff Rivera’s request to enter an MOU with Medina County for inmate housing and separately approved the sheriff’s purchase of a 2026 enclosed cargo trailer for $8,229.67 from Taggart Motor Company.
Commissioner Howard Gillespie requested $38,000 to prime weld and fence under PO 10-77669 with a remaining $29,000 to be paid upon project completion; the court approved the funding. Airport Manager Gary Davis requested equipment transfers—a Ford 2008 crane truck and a Case 2007 tractor—from Road & Bridge 4 to the airport; the court approved those transfers. All items were approved by motion during the individual action items portion of the agenda.
