Precinct 3 resident thanks commissioners for water-rights rally

Brent Casey, a resident of Precinct 3, told the San Patricio County Commissioners’ Court on April 20 that he appreciated the commissioners’ and the judge’s public support at a recent rally opposing actions that would take local water resources. “We had a rally, ‘Say no to our taking our water,’” Casey said, adding that the social media response to officials standing with residents was “phenomenal.”
Casey said he had received outreach from officials in neighboring Kansas County who offered to help and support the local effort. He closed by thanking county leaders and saying, “The citizens really appreciate it,” before the court moved on to its consent agenda.
