County awards asphalt contracts, hears road maintenance and staffing report

County road staff then reported staffing needs (open positions for an equipment operator I, truck driver and mechanic), a count of open work orders across unpaved and paved roads and parks, and a recent repair expense of $22,340.40 for a distributor repair. Staff described silcoat (surface treatment) testing and production runs and said crews are aiming to complete the program depending on upcoming rain. Timber Ridge closeout work was reported on schedule to finish this week.
Commissioners thanked staff for responsiveness and progress on maintenance programs and for coordinating with the city on shared roads.
