Court ratifies settlement with Tyler Technologies to discontinue e-discovery product

Lubbock County Commissioners ratified an amendment and authorized the county judge to sign exhibit B to a negotiated settlement agreement with Tyler Technologies to discontinue use of the county's current e-discovery product.
The county judge described the settlement as "a good agreement" that "serves Lubbock County very well," saying it moves the county off the prior e-discovery product and onto a product that will better serve court users, the district attorney's office and defense attorneys. "It gets us on a path to a product that both the courts and the DA's office and the defense attorneys can enjoy," the judge said.
The Court moved, seconded and ratified the amendment; the motion carried by voice vote. No roll-call vote totals were recorded in the transcript.
