CCRADC outgoing CEO reviews economy; new CEO Aaron Bowman introduces himself

Mike Culbertson, the outgoing CEO of the Coastal Bend regional economic development corporation, gave an annual report covering housing inventory, sales tax variability and regional employment trends and discussed strategies to recruit low-water-use industries. "When we talk about BRE, we go out and we... take care of businesses," Culbertson said, describing business intelligence work and water-focused recruitment efforts.
Culbertson also discussed regional risks from oilfield cycles and emphasized the area's suitability for drone and other low-water industries. He introduced Aaron Bowman as the organization’s new CEO. Bowman thanked the court: "I look forward to working and supporting all of you on the continued growth of your wonderful county," and said he is returning to the Coastal Bend area and is excited to be part of the region.
