San Patricio commissioners proclaim April 2026 Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month

Representatives of the local child welfare board introduced themselves and described a pinwheel display on the courthouse lawn to symbolize children affected by abuse and neglect. A board representative said the pinwheels "represent lives" and called for broader awareness to prompt action and save lives. The board noted the county program is in its 51st year and invited commissioners and the public to the awareness events.
