Commissioners approve $160,000 economic development agreement with BCEDC

Warren Brown, director of the Blackford County Economic Development Corporation, presented the 2026 Economic Development Agreement requesting $160,000 in county support. Commissioners voted to accept the agreement 3–0 during the Feb. 2 meeting.
Brown told commissioners he will present a broadband contract at the next meeting, bring a resolution and an SB1 abatement related to the RWE Phase 2 project to the county council, and return with a Butler Fairman service agreement and task order at a future meeting.
