Highway Superintendent John Pluimer told the council that a truck driver will be leaving on Friday and requested reinstatement of the vacant position to retain nine truck drivers. "A truck driver will be leaving on Friday," Pluimer said; the council approved restoring the position on a motion by Kyle Lechien, seconded by Casey Dick, by a 6–0 vote.
Pluimer also reported operational updates: 100 E and 400 S will be temporarily closed on Friday for crane crossings; a new culvert pipe was installed on 350 W; and work on a new structure on 100 E will require the road to be closed for three to four days starting Monday. The council recorded the staffing reinstatement vote and acknowledged the scheduled closures.
