Brown County RDC approves June minutes after amending disputed line
Summary
Commissioners approved the June meeting minutes with a deletion requested by a member; one member abstained because they were not present at the June meeting.
During review of the June minutes, Member B (S3) objected to one sentence characterizing economic benefits to Helmsburg and asked that the line be deleted. Members debated whether those benefits arose from EDA tools, TIFs or other RDC work. One commissioner said they would abstain from the vote because they were not at the June meeting. After the deletion was agreed, a motion to approve the minutes (moved by Committee member S4, seconded by Committee member S3) passed with recorded ayes and an abstention.
The commission then moved on to July packet items and confirmed copies were available in the meeting packet. The modification and approval mean the June record will be amended to remove the disputed sentence before being filed.
