Staff recounted that crews returned to a Young America Town Tile site to repair damage left by an open trench that had plugged a tile. The work required replacing about 600 feet of tile and tearing through the road to access the line; staff planned to level and seed the area within two to three weeks. “Long story short, bury it. Not bury it. Might be cast paid for it or probably broadband, but we had to replace 600 foot,” the staff member said.
Committee members discussed whether landowners would bear all costs and whether to wait on additional reconstruction to allow the watershed time to heal. No final decision was made to reassign costs at the meeting; staff said they would coordinate further with landowners and return with details if needed.
