Kevin Massey presented a slate of nominees for the county's Board of Equalization and asked the supervisors to forward the names to the judge for appointment. Massey said the nominees have prior BOE experience and that the commission's revenue office had reached out; he listed Renee Bridgeman, Joe Battison, Thomas Zuker and Susan Nye (to serve as alternate). "Those are the names," Massey said, asking the Board for a motion to recommend the list to the judge.
The Board moved and voted unanimously to forward the recommended slate. During the presentation Massey noted training for BOE members is planned for the third week in January and that hearings on appeals are tentatively expected in mid-February, with the filing deadline in February. The commission's recommendation will be provided to the judge for formal appointments and the schedule depends on application filings.
