A juvenile probation representative said the activities were intended to engage youth in positive experiences and reduce involvement with law enforcement: "we did different activities with the kids... they were allowed to do some archery... they learn how to communicate appropriately." Commissioners praised the program and noted the juvenile board and court provide support for such efforts.
