The Wood Village City Council accepted the system development charges (SDC) annual report for the period ending June 30, 2024.
Finance staff said the water SDC fund has a balance of about $262,000 and that the city spent a little more than the $10,000 it budgeted for a Well 3 capacity evaluation. For parks SDCs, staff said the city has about $100,000 available after repaying a loan used to acquire a property on the northeast corner of the former Greyhound Park; a planned project to design and develop that property is included in upcoming budgets.
Councilors discussed SDC methodology (meter-size basis for water, usage approximations for parks) and confirmed SDCs are restricted to qualifying projects listed in respective master plans. The council moved, seconded, and approved Resolution 1-2025 accepting the SDC report.
