Council elects Rios Campos as Wood Village mayor

Presiding official Speaker 1 opened nominations and Speaker 3 nominated Councilor Rios Campos; the nomination was seconded and "passes unanimously," the presiding official announced. After the mayoral vote, the council moved on to choose a council president and elected Dara Tan by voice vote.
The outgoing presiding official reflected on priorities during their term, saying they were focused on "building a shared leadership approach," strengthening relationships with neighboring cities and addressing homelessness with greater accountability. Councilors congratulated the newly elected leaders and noted certificates of election would be delivered to virtual participants.
