Commissioner Zeich explained that two older Road & Bridge vehicles — a 2009 International 4300 low-side dump truck and a 2005 Mack formerly used as a water truck (now a flatbed) — are largely unused and should be declared surplus. The court approved the surplus declaration under local government code.
On fiscal transfers, commissioners approved an amendment moving $80,000 into repairs and parts by decreasing bridge repair and contract services line items (net transfers: bridge repair down $50,000; contract services down $30,000; repairs & parts up $80,000). Two smaller items to increase soil conservation were removed at Zeich's request. The court also approved an interlocal work order with the City of Garrett to reclaim and chip-seal 0.3 miles of Beverly Drive (from Boyce Drive to Family Lane). All items passed unanimously.
