Meals on Wheels thanks commissioners; program says it remains sole home-delivered meal provider in county

Hocken said the program delivers year-round to homebound senior adults, some of whom receive the meals as their only daily visit: "We deliver all year long to homebound senior adults...Some are disabled," she said.
Commissioners praised volunteers and urged members of the public to consider donating or volunteering. The court acknowledged the program's community role and accepted Hocken's invitation to ride along during delivery days to better understand program operations.
