Commissioners approve two replats and release a $15,000 supplemental deposit

Alberto Maras, Director of Development, presented three development items to the Ellis County Commissioners Court on March 17: a replat for the Toledo edition (approx. 10.29 acres in the Red Oak extraterritorial jurisdiction), a replat for Summit Estates Phase 1 (approx. 3.216 acres at Veil Lane and Denali Way), and a request to release a $15,000 supplemental deposit for Springside Estates Phase 2 (approx. 106.687 acres near Blackfoot Parkway and Gibson Road).
For the Toledo edition replat, Maras said the city of Red Oak had already approved the plat and staff recommended approval subject to two conditions. For Summit Estates, staff recommended approval subject to five technical conditions and said 55 notices had been sent within the subdivision. On the Springside deposit, staff said a previously noted minor drainage deficiency had been corrected and recommended release of the $15,000 supplemental bond.
Commissioners moved and seconded the items in sequence and the court approved each by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The court's actions clear the plats to proceed under the stated staff conditions and release the applicant's supplemental deposit after staff confirmation that the deficiency was addressed.
