Council declines to advance Savannah Grove special-source revenue bond ordinance

"I think we killed creative 1st of its kind partnership and a new athletic center for Florence County," the chair said, adding concern that the action could slow collaborative efforts with school districts.
No substitute motion or amended funding plan was adopted at the meeting; councilmembers expressed differing views on timing and the county’s role. The result was that the ordinance did not move forward at this meeting.
