Judge Carrie Stiller can retire and be rehired under county PERF rules, Council approves

Judge Stiller said her lead court reporter has 33 years of service and "is qualified to retire under the terms of retirement plan with the County" but is not ready to stop working. She asked the Council to allow the retire-and-rehire approach, saying it "will save the County the cost of PERF for this employee." The Council approved the arrangement unanimously (motion by Connie Moon; seconded by Dale Bagshaw).
The approval allows the staff member to trigger retirement benefits while preserving continuity of court operations through rehiring under county personnel rules.
