The Floyd County Council on Aug. 13 approved a $104,404.63 appropriation to the Health Departments Childrens Immunizations fund, which the agenda shows with a negative balance of $-34,401.36.
Health Department Director Charlotte Bass asked the Council to approve $29,444.63 for supplies, $54,600 for contract employees and $20,360 for equipment to stabilize immunization services for children. The motion passed unanimously after council consideration.
Council members did not attach additional conditions to the appropriation in the recorded motion; staff will proceed with the purchases and report back if further adjustments are needed.
