Boards ask for clearer maps; new pool application planned for December

During routine business at the Oct. 7 meeting, board members asked staff for clearer, more legible maps for future packet materials and presentations. E. Van Pearce asked specifically that maps be easier to read at meetings so members and the public can follow proposed routes and site plans.
Community Development Director Gary Mitchell announced that Archer Ruffin will submit an application to install a concrete swimming pool along the James River for consideration at the December meeting. The board approved the Aug. 5, 2024 minutes on a 4–0 motion and Mitchell asked attendees to complete the county’s Comprehensive Plan survey before the next meeting. There were no public comments and the meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
