Officials: small numbers of rejected absentee, limited and provisional ballots in Potter County canvass

She said limited ballots are used by voters who moved into Potter County but did not update registration in time; "for this election, they got to vote on everything because it was constitutional amendments and we only had 4 limited ballot voters." Christy also explained the office recorded one provisional ballot and that absentee rejections (four) were generally due to missing or incorrect ID information on the ballot-by-mail application.
Christy described the county's process for notifying voters whose absentee ballots are at risk of rejection: the office sends notice and, when possible, makes phone contact; voters can then return the cure form, update information online, or come in person to correct the record.
