The Collin County Commissioner’s Court approved multiple routine and supplemental actions during the session.
Consent-agenda remainder: The court moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda remainder; the motion carried. Item 1D1 had been pulled and, after discussion, was approved on a 3–1 vote.
Promotions: Commissioners approved promotions for Veronica Ward, Rachel Lakey and Shannon Poe.
Overtime: The court adopted an amended Collin County Overtime Policy as amended (effective Oct. 1, FY2025) by a 4–0 vote and separately directed staff to allow payroll, under standard practices and with auditor oversight, to process overtime payments already worked through the remainder of FY2024 for the sheriff’s office, animal shelter, road & bridge, and elections.
Toll Road Authority and Healthcare Foundation: The court adjourned a Healthcare Foundation meeting, convened and adjourned the Toll Road Authority meeting and approved that body’s consent agenda items; the court then reconvened commissioners court.
