Council approved city budget including library; trustees discuss $50,000 city share for master study

One trustee (speaker 3) noted the plan lists $50,000 from the city and another $50,000 from "outside," and asked whether that outside funding was expected to come from the Friends. The liaison said that the $50,000 from outside was "to be determined" and not yet set in stone, and said the topic will require additional discussion as trustees plan the timing of the study.
No formal funding authorization for the master study was adopted at the meeting; trustees asked that the Sept. 3 meeting with the Friends be used to discuss potential outside funding and to align priorities so the study could proceed sooner if external support is available.
