Instructional staff told the Victoria ISD Board of Trustees that a spring pilot of the IXL learning platform yielded measurable improvements in student TSIA outcomes and offered college-readiness tools used by secondary students.
"We piloted IXL learning...we saw some incremental improvements in skills," Miss Croyazzo said, describing how staff assigned targeted IXL skills for specific TSIA weaknesses and then had students retake the exam. "We got quite a few kids across the finish line utilizing that strategy." Staff urged that the pilot data informed the district's decision to adopt certain supplemental resources as part of a streamlined approach.
The district presentation did not specify exact counts or dollar figures for the pilot program impact. Staff also noted that some digital supplements are eligible under the state funding process cited in the meeting record; the meeting transcript refers to this as "House Bill Minutes."
