The Hall County Planning Commission convened Jan. 6 at 5:15 p.m., approved its Dec. 16, 2024 minutes by a 5-0 vote (motion by Gina Pilcher, second by Frank Sosebee), and then took up old and new business. The commission recorded acceptance of an applicant’s withdrawal of a rezoning and use-permit request concerning an 18.06± acre Athens Highway property. Later, the commission approved a special use allowing a 1992 manufactured home to be moved to 3243 Hall Drive (Tax Parcel 09108 000063C) by a 5-0 vote.
Other business included scheduling the next Planning Commission meeting for Jan. 21, 2025. Chairman Chris Braswell adjourned the meeting at 5:27 p.m.; the minutes were signed by Braswell and Clerk Kaitlyn Elliott. The actions taken at the Jan. 6 meeting were routine procedural approvals and a local special-use decision; no public comments were recorded in opposition at this session.
