Clark said his firm services roughly 400 residential customers in Brown County, employs eight people locally, and contributes to community programs. “We have employees excited about buying their first home here in Brown County,” he said. He provided financial figures to the commission, saying last year’s payroll exceeded $340,000 and projecting $450,000 this year. He also said the firm’s gross activity is roughly $1.2 million and that some work is regional but payroll stays in the county.
Clark acknowledged the property’s residential zoning history and told the commission he had been told about zoning status when purchasing the site. He said he is willing to accept site‑specific mitigations — parking vehicles behind the building, limiting delivery days and avoiding a lighted sign — to reduce visual and traffic impacts. Clark also emphasized that most operations are service calls performed at customer locations rather than onsite manufacturing or heavy storage.
