The presenter said a certified peer support professional has worked in Cass County two days a week since May 19 and had completed more than 100 appointments and met with over 50 individual clients in 13 days of service. "Based on her current caseload... it is pretty obviously obvious that the need does exist up here for us to have a full time, peer navigator," the presenter said, adding that the group is "actively pursuing funding opportunities" to establish a full‑time position and expand youth programs such as a mobile mental‑health bus and prevention curricula.
The organization also described work to connect clients to Medicaid, SNAP and housing resources and said it is exploring partnerships with the sheriff's department to bring services into the jail. Commissioners did not take a funding vote at the meeting but acknowledged the demand and encouraged pursuit of sustainable funding sources.
