Jerrick, introduced by the court, said the MOU consolidates several existing deployment contracts into a single agreement and "it's gonna allow you to maintain local control and complete administrative protection, and allow for flexible deployment options throughout the state," and explained that both county personnel and responders from other counties could deploy under the consolidated agreement. The court authorized the county judge to sign the MOU; the motion passed 5–0.
Commissioners asked procedural questions about a policy and whether the county would need to report or establish local guidelines; staff said they would bring a policy or additional details to the policy committee for review before implementation.
