S11 also described a planned addition to the Sheriff’s Office dispatch area to expand from five to seven consoles and add office space; S11 and other staff estimated the build‑out and furniture at roughly $150,000. County staff (S2) noted that, because the dispatch expansion is tied to public‑safety communications, ARPA funds might be an allowable funding source but any contracts must be obligated by Dec. 20, 2026 to meet ARPA deadlines.
The court discussed sealed‑bid requirements for demolition work (old county attorney building) and the potential to piggyback city contracts for brush grinding to reduce costs. No final appropriations for these projects were approved at the meeting; commissioners asked staff to gather bids and timing for next budget decisions.
