Commission approves partitioning for Ornelas property; motion carried unanimously

The Yachats Planning Commission voted to approve a partitioning application for the Ornelas property at its July 15 meeting after staff recommended adoption of the draft order of approval.
"My recommendation is to approve the order of approval, the draft order as presented," staff member Dan Fleischman told the commission. Chair Mark Sakamoto moved to approve the application of (applicant named in the motion) Michael Cornelis and to adopt the draft order; commissioners recorded 'aye' votes and the motion carried.
The staff report notes the lot is approximately 0.5 acre and that the commission had previously granted a variance to the minimum lot depth requirement; with those conditions satisfied staff concluded the partition meets the pertinent approval criteria. No public testimony was provided opposing the application at the meeting.
