At the July 15 meeting, resident Frankie Petrick raised safety concerns about the fence above the skate park, saying several boards are loose and there are holes that could allow a child running across to fall.
"Some of the boards are getting loose and there's holes...if somebody was running across, they could fall right through," Petrick said. City Manager Bobby responded that the concern can be handled by the city's channels and indicated staff would be notified; he added that code enforcement also accepts online reports.
The commission did not take formal action at the meeting, but the city manager's acknowledgement signals staff follow-up through either code enforcement or public-works maintenance.
