Campbell: existing homeless trust funds should be used preventively, not only after eviction

Campbell said the proposal had traction but ultimately did not become law. “This bill was instrumental in changing the way that some of those funds could be spent and allowing those funds to be spent on prevention,” she said, arguing prevention would help people keep jobs and families together and produce long-term economic stability.
