Board appoints two community members and a teacher to finance advisory council

Chair Christiansen described an application process to fill two community positions and one teaching-staff position on the district finance advisory council. Twelve people applied for the open community slots; the finance subcommittee (Becky De Wilde and Chair Christiansen) reviewed applications and recommended Ryan Peterson and Jennifer Thompson for the community seats and Scott Brunns, a Dodge Middle School social studies teacher and FVA building representative, for the teacher seat.
A board member moved to accept the recommended members and a second followed; the board approved the appointments by voice vote. “We are tonight, recommending the appointment of Ryan Peterson and Jennifer Thompson to the finance advisory council,” Christiansen said.
