Board denies Farmington Education Association level 3 grievance

The board took formal administrative action on a Level 3 grievance filed by the Farmington Education Association (FEA). Vice chair Gorman explained that a subcommittee—appointed from the board and consisting of De Wilde and Jasierski—had heard the grievance and provided findings and a recommendation to deny. Gorman said the committee's recommendation was presented to both the board and the union.
A motion to deny the Level 3 grievance was made and seconded. The board voted to adopt the committee's findings and recommendations and thereby deny the grievance; Chair Christiansen recorded an abstention. The superintendent was instructed to send a copy of the resolution and the committee findings and recommendations to the union. “The board adopts the committee's findings and recommendations and hereby denies the grievance,” Gorman said.
