The Eagle Urban Renewal Agency moved into executive session on Aug. 5, citing Idaho Code section 74‑206(1)(f) to consult with legal counsel regarding the legal ramifications and options for litigation that was described as likely to arise. Commissioner Russell made the motion to enter executive session under that statutory authority and the board voted to recess and pause recording.
The board returned to open session at 7:10 p.m.; the agency reported that no decisions were made during the closed session. Immediately after returning to open session the board considered an action item authorizing legal counsel to accept service of a complaint related to the Eagle Fire District. Commissioner Russell moved "to approve and authorize legal counsel to accept service of complaint related to the Eagle Fire District and bring back to the commission," and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
No further action or reportable outcomes from the executive session were announced at the meeting.
