The McIntosh County Board of Commissioners convened Feb. 10, 2026, approved the meeting agenda and earlier minutes, and moved through new-business items including an appointment to the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS), approval of a contract for a new County Financial Director, a letter of support for a University of Georgia Marine Extension/Sea Grant coastal incentive grant, and a letter supporting annexation of a parcel into the City of Darien. The board also voted to enter and exit an executive session for legal matters during the meeting.
The board amended the agenda to add the Clerk of Court's request and then approved entering into an intergovernmental agreement with Long County to share Board of Equalization members. Nearly every recorded motion in the minutes carried unanimously; no roll-call dissent is recorded. Chairperson Karwacki adjourned the meeting at 11:20 a.m.
