Clerk of Court seeks agreement with Long County to share Board of Equalization members; commissioners approve

Mandy Harrison, Superior Clerk of Court, asked the McIntosh County Board of Commissioners for support to draft an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Long County that would allow the two counties to share members for the Board of Equalization. Harrison explained the process and the need for the agreement during the Feb. 10 meeting.
The board voted to amend the agenda to add the Clerk of Court's request (motion by Commissioner Jarriel, seconded by Commissioner Lotson) and then approved entering into the IGA (motion by Commissioner Poole, seconded by Commissioner Jarriel). Both motions carried unanimously, with no dissent recorded.
