Brown County BZA approves minutes, sets May 27 follow-ups and adjourns

The Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals approved the March 25 meeting minutes, recorded a few continuances for follow-up at the May 27 meeting, approved a tourist-home special exception with conditions, and adjourned on April 29.
Early in the meeting the board moved to approve last month’s minutes after the chair noted he had circulated suggested edits; the minutes were approved as written on a roll-call vote. Staff announced three new variance requests expected at the next meeting (two from the Lake District) and said there would be at least two continued items. The board adjourned after completing the agenda.
Members asked staff to prepare follow-up items for May 27, including documentation for the Wagler petition and verification that conditions for the Tavish petition are met. The chair asked that staff provide notice or an article summarizing the discussion about potential changes to Lake District setback policy for public awareness.
